The proposal submitted by VPH on behalf of a wide range of partners, on the topic “Bridging the gap between innovation and adoption: building the foundations for trusted AI and Virtual Human Twins in health and care” was selected as one of the thematic networks for the 2026 Health Policy Platform cycle.

This is a major step forward for in silico medicine and for Europe’s transition toward responsible, trusted adoption of AI and Virtual Human Twins in health and care.

 

The proposal aims at bringing together patients, clinicians, policymakers, regulators, academia, and industry to turn innovation into real-world impact.

 

Through this Thematic Network, VPH and their partners will:

• Deliver actionable policy recommendations for regulators, providers, and payers

• Build on the VHT Roadmap developed by the EDITH-CSA project

• Strengthen Europe’s ecosystem for trustworthy, human-centered digital health technologies
